So you're a certified diver that wants to experience the Southern California Kelp Forest. The kelp forests at Catalina Island are some of the best in the world. You may swim with bat rays, calico bass, giant kelp fish, moray eels, Giant Black Sea Bass (seasonal), octopus, or many other local species while flying through columns of lush kelp. As one of the most abundant eco-systems on the planet- the Southern California Kelp Forest will surround you with more aquatic life that you could ever imagine.

We suggest a 2 hour guided dive for all solo divers or any group of divers that may not be completely comfortable with local conditions or the needed gear. The guided dive offers a seasoned Instructor or Divemaster that will accompany you as you enjoy the pristine kelp forest in the Avalon Dive Park. You may bring some or all of your own gear, or if you are traveling light, we will supply any gear you may need. Just remember a towel, swim suit, and warm clothes for when you get out of the water. You will need to show proof of certification for this excursion and if it has been over 3 years since your last dive a Refresher Course may be in order.
